Trainings, Workshops, & Professional Development

The challenges faced by service professionals from yoga teachers, educators, social workers, counselors, health care providers and therapists can be extraordinary. As was my experience, deeper knowledge and tools to ensure my compassionate support of the social and emotional needs of the yoga students I served became a necessity for my teaching practice. Yoga and mindfulness trainings and professional development workshops are a wonderful way to grow your professional toolkit and support your own wellbeing as a service professional.

I am proud to be affiliated with organizations that offer continuing education workshops and trainings that are rooted in the latest neurobiological research and how yoga and mindfulness practices that support stress management and wellbeing can be integrated into work with vulnerable populations that include children, adolescents and adults, survivors or domestic violence, and people of color. With an inclusive and adaptive approach that respects the intersecting systemic inequalities inherent in our culture, trainings in yoga and mindfulness support learning, sustained attention, emotion regulation, and the overall relief from toxic stress that all to frequently leads to disease and death in underserved communities.

With over 6000 hours of teaching in schools and facilitating professional development workshops and 100-hour teacher trainings, I am grateful to serve and support those of us whose work aims to empower vulnerable populations through innumerable opportunities for personal and professional development.
